The legality of raw milk sales are a contentious issue in Virginia and around the country. Do you believe raw unpasteurized milk should be allowed to be sold to consumers and if so how should it be regulated?
Do you support continued funding of conservation programs through the Virginia Agricultural Best Management Practices Cost Share Program. If not, why, and if so do you believe the current levels are funding are too low, to high, or just right?
The recent purchase of Smithfield Foods by a Chinese Firm has been very controversial in that the Chinese company would control over 20 percent of the pork market in the United States. Regardless of ownership, do you feel that vertically integrated companies like Smithfield benefit farmers and consumers?
